Esmee Elsenburg

Attorney

Esmee Elsenburg is an attorney at Bureau Brandeis in the Corporate & Commercial Litigation practice group. She primarily represents companies in contractual disputes and liability matters and also acts for foundations and public interest organisations in collective actions. In addition, Esmee supervises the law students undertaking internships within the Corporate & Commercial Litigation practice.

In January 2023, Esmee graduated cum laude from the University of Amsterdam with a Master’s degree in Private Law Practice, specialising in finance and security interests. Alongside her studies, she worked as a legal assistant at Flinck Advocaten and served as a board member of the Ad Forum Foundation. Esmee has a particular interest in civil law, especially corporate and commercial disputes, as well as financing and security interests. In addition to her work as an attorney, she enjoys exploring complex legal issues. In September 2025, Esmee published an article in the journal Onderneming & Financiering on the Dutch Act Abolishing Contractual Prohibitions on Assignment and Pledging (Wet opheffing verpandingsverboden) (O&F 2025/3).

On behalf of Bureau Brandeis, Esmee is affiliated with Bridges Network as a peer. Bridges Network is an organisation dedicated to bridging the gap between the commercial legal profession and law students from bicultural backgrounds or who are first-generation university students.
