Juliette Princen is a Legal Assistant at bureau Brandeis. She works within the Corporate & Commercial Litigation practice.

In early 2026, Juliette obtained her Master’s degree in Private Law Practice from the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, she developed a particular interest in contractual disputes and corporate law matters. In addition, Juliette is interested in collective actions and wrote her Master’s thesis on litigation funders in WAMCA cases.

Throughout her studies, Juliette gained relevant practical experience at several law firms.

Menno Wanders is a Legal Assistant at bureau Brandeis and works within the criminal law practice.

Menno has a broad legal background. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Law at Leiden University, he obtained both a Master’s degree in Private Law and a Master’s degree in Criminal Law at the University of Amsterdam. For his Master’s thesis in Private Law, he researched shock damage, a legal concept at the intersection of criminal law and civil liability. As part of his Master’s degree in Criminal Law, he conducted research into the effective participation of individuals with mild intellectual disabilities within the criminal justice system. This allows him to combine a civil law perspective on damages and liability with a criminal law focus on procedural safeguards and vulnerable participants in criminal proceedings.

Before joining bureau Brandeis, Menno gained experience both in civil litigation and at the Public Prosecution Service, within the Policy, Strategy & Investigation department.

Menno is passionate, articulate and analytically strong. His particular interest lies in cases where individual legal protection, liability and criminal truth-finding intersect. His creativity, combined with his broad legal background, enables him to approach criminal cases from multiple perspectives.

Sophie works as a Legal Assistant in the Information Law practice. She advises clients on and assists with administrative enforcement matters relating to media, online platforms, gambling, telecommunications, and cybersecurity.

What sets Sophie apart is her experience on both sides of the regulatory landscape. Before joining the firm, she worked as a regulator at the Dutch Media Authority (Commissariaat voor the Media), where she was responsible for supervising public media services, video-sharing platform providers, compliance with the Dutch Media Act, and the Regulation on the Transparency and Targeting of Political Advertising.

In 2024, Sophie completed her Master’s degree in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam. She wrote her thesis on the use of copyright-protected works for training AI models. During a Summer School at Korea University, she further explored developments in artificial intelligence and the ethical issues surrounding AI.

Alongside her studies, Sophie gained relevant experience at several law firms. She also held extracurricular positions as a board member of both a student association and a legal journal.

Ole works as a legal assistant at bureau Brandeis in the field of administrative law enforcement. His work focuses on telecommunications, media, gambling, platform regulation, and cybersecurity, as well as the enforcement processes associated with these topics.

Ole is a master’s student in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam. During his studies, he specialized in issues surrounding privacy, artificial intelligence, and the regulation of online platforms. He also gained experience during previous internships at the intersection of information law, copyright and trademark law, telecommunications, and unlawful press publications.

In his work as a legal assistant at a software company, he also immersed himself in commercial contracts and Software as a Service.

Marie-Claire Vogels is a legal assistant at bureau Brandeis and specialises in information law and private law.

In 2025, Marie-Claire completed her Master’s degree in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam. She is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Private Law at the same university. Previously, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Utrecht Law College, the honours programme of the Bachelor of Laws at Utrecht University.

During her studies, Marie-Claire was actively involved as a board member of study association Sirius and as a legal advisor at Clinic Law Incubator, a legal aid clinic focused on information law. In addition, Marie-Claire gained work experience at several law firms and worked as a student editor at Boek9.
