Marlies has worked in the legal profession as a secretary for many years. First in permanent employment and later, from 1993 to 2017 as a freelance secretary and from 2017 again in permanent employment at a small, niche law firm. In 1993, the term ‘self-employed’ did not even exist yet so she was a pioneer! During that freelance period, she regularly met lawyers and secretaries who now also work at bureau Brandeis. It was therefore a feast of recognition when she joined the Brandeis office team from 1 August 2023.
