Richard Korver joins Brandeis as partner on 1 October
On 1 October 2025, Attorney Richard Korver will join Brandeis as a partner. His arrival will strengthen the firm’s position as a dispute resolution specialist par excellence, regardless of the area of law.
Korver will head up the new criminal law practice group. His focus will be on fraud, investigations, integrity issues and assisting victims. Korver has always combined a commercial practice with a social one, which fits in well with the DNA of Brandeis.
Korver is known as a committed and determined litigator with unique experience in proceedings at the intersection of civil and criminal law. In high-profile cases, he has proven himself to be an outspoken and socially engaged lawyer. His clients praise his strategic insight, eye for reputational risks and ability to build bridges between different areas of law.
With this appointment, Brandeis strengthens its strategic focus: litigation, investigations and administrative law enforcement. “With Richard, we are not only bringing in a big name, but also a partner with whom we can provide multidisciplinary assistance to our clients”, says Christiaan Alberdingk Thijm, co-managing partner of the firm.
Korver is known as an outspoken challenger in and out of the courtroom. His experience in both commercial and social cases enables him to guide clients through legal conflicts and risks, with an eye for their position in an increasingly demanding environment. In addition, he plays an active role in public debate and knows how to translate and interpret complex issues into understandable and strategic positions.
His appointment underlines Brandeis’ unique proposition: assisting clients when it matters. Korver is the second new partner to join the firm in a short period of time. In September, Eric Meijer van Gelderen joined as a partner in financial & commercial litigation. Richard will be joined by Tessel Bossen, who previously worked at Brandeis for six years.
