Ellis joined Brandeis in July as part of the general secretariat. With her broad background and versatile experience, she’s a real asset to the team. Before coming to Brandeis, she worked at law firms focused on family, labour, and inheritance law, where she built up solid experience in legal services and got to know the ins and outs of the profession.
Her career, however, started outside the legal field. Ellis has held various roles as an executive secretary and administrative assistant in different organisations, and for over twenty years she also ran the family’s flower shop with great dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. This mix of organisational skills, customer focus, and creativity has shaped her into the all-round professional she is today.
Ellis is known for her hands-on approach, entrepreneurial mindset, and solution-oriented way of working. She’s quick to adapt, takes initiative when needed, and enjoys getting things done together with others. At the same time, she works with precision and attention to detail – qualities that are essential in a legal environment.
At Brandeis, Ellis is part of the general secretariat, where teamwork is key. Unlike traditional law firms, Brandeis doesn’t assign fixed secretary–lawyer pairs; instead, supporting both lawyers and clients is a shared responsibility. Ellis contributes to this every day with her flexibility, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
