Diego Guerrero Obando is an associate at bureau Brandeis specialising in intellectual property law, information law and privacy and data protection.
He litigates mainly in the field of intellectual property law, including trademark and design law, copyright and trade name law. Diego also has in-depth knowledge of parallel trade and extensive experience with commercial contracts, such as general terms and conditions and purchase, distribution and licence agreements. He also advises his clients on compliance issues in the context of the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act.
Diego is known for his committed and accessible approach, his keen insight into the market and his ability to switch gears quickly and effectively. His expertise is also recognised by The Legal 500, which describes him as a key lawyer due to his ‘provision of razor sharp advice’ in the field of intellectual property law.
Diego was sworn in as a lawyer in February 2020. He then worked for a Rotterdam law firm for five years.
In 2019, Diego obtained a master’s degree in Information Law from the Institute for Information Law (IViR) at the University of Amsterdam. Previously, he followed an extracurricular honours programme at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Diego has been affiliated with the bureau Brandeis since February 2025.
