Bente van Kan is a junior associate at bureau Brandeis. She has been working in the gaming, media and telecommunications practice since 2023. Bente acts in various administrative law procedures, advising, among others, on scarce licences, the Open Government Act (Wet open overheid) and gambling legislation.
Bente completed the Master’s degree in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam in 2023. During her studies, she focused in particular on intellectual property law and the liability of online intermediaries. She wrote her master’s thesis on sustainability in trademark law from the perspective of ‘Upcycling’.
During her studies, Bente also gained work experience at various legal firms, both within the legal profession and the notarial practice.
